I have a 7 year old and a 1 1/2 year old. Getting my daughter off the bottle was very easy, from one day to the next there was no more baby bottle. No problems. She had just turned 1. Now with this guy... He will be 2 in four months and we didnt think we would ever be able to take the baby bottle away from him. But since he finally bit through his last nipple the other day, I decided now would be a good time to make him quit. Since he is older he is able to communicate a lot more than she was when this happened so I did have to tell him that we needed to throw it in the trash. And the first night was surprisingly easy! He did ask for his "baba" but did settle for his cuppy with no problems. Tonight we are on night #2 He is asleep now but it wasn't easy. I have never had any bedtime problems with this little guy so tonight was a rough one. Lets see how the rest of the night goes...
My advice for all mothers get rid of the "baba" before they can ask for it!
